Beading Basics
Thursday, August 14th

Learn the basics of working with beads and beading tools & create your choice of bracelet or eyeglass holder. This two hour workshop will teach you basic bead stringing, using different fibers with different size beads, bead findings and how they’re incorporated into jewelry pieces, beading tools, and beading terminology. A pre-requisite to upcoming intermediate and advanced beading workshops!
Hemlock Ring Afghan Class
3 Sessions (and a bonus 30 minute finishing session at your convenience)

This beautiful afghan is worked in the round and can be knit as a shawl if so desired. You’ll use both a chart and descriptive directions. This is a more advanced project and knitters should be familiar with the knit and purl stitch, increases and decreases, and knitting in the round. You may choose your yarn weight to create your own variation of this pattern. Please plan to choose and purchase your yarn early! This calls for a good amount of yarn and we want to be sure you get what you want!

The Swallow Hill Beaded Scarf Workshop

Baubles & Beads Knitted Bracelet

Learn to knit the “Baubles & Beads” bracelet! This class will teach you how to turn fingering weight yarn into a beautiful piece of jewelry by adding our Designer Beads as you knit. The bracelet is finished with a lovely toggle clasp and can be adapted to any size wrist.
Intro to Spinning

Explore the tactile world of spinning. You’ll begin on the drop spindle, learn to spin and ply, and take a spin on the wheel. This mesmerizing art form is making a strong come back. Give it a try….see what you think!
